Well, it's been a long time since I last posted. I received the Jillian Michaels DVDs. I've done the 30 Day Shred video a hand full of times. It's kind of hard. You start out with a warm up. hen you start the gruelling 20 minute work out.
Set 1:
30 seconds push ups
1 minute squats with over head press
30 seconds push ups
1 minute squats with
30 seconds jumping jacks
30 second jump rope
30 seconds jumping jacks
30 seconds jump rope
30 seconds crunches
30 seconds reverse crunches
Set 2:
30 seconds standing rows
1 minute static lunge with bicep curls
30 seconds standing rows
1 minute static lunge with bicep curls
30 seconds butt kicks
30 seconds punches
30 seconds butt kicks
30 seconds punches
30 seconds right obliques crunches
30 seconds left obliques crunches
Set 3:
30 seconds chest flies
1 minute shoulder raises with side lunge
30 seconds chest flies
1 minute shoulder raises with side lunge
30 seconds jumping jacks
30 seconds jump rope
30 seconds butt kicks
30 seconds punches
1 minute slow bicycle crunches
There you go. That's what the level 1 workout is. I find the shoulder stuff the hardest. That's probably why I don't have shoulders like Jillian's... yet. I also found that after 5 days of doing this everyday my knees started to really hurt. I haven't done the video too much since then just because I managed to get a cold and figured sleep was probably best. I just got over that cold and now Zander is cutting the top teeth and I'm lacking in the sleep department again and have a sore throat. I had a whole lemon today and will probably have another before bed.
Well, until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.

Cardio Day
Today was my now dreaded cardio day. When I was in high school I always hated when we had to lift weight for practice but loved to run and now it's the other way around. I have no idea why. Maybe I'm just getting tired of staring at a basement wall the whole time. As soon as I can I'm going to get a jump rope and start doing cardio outside. Our gauge says it's 42F out. A little cold for me right now. Hopefully in the next week or two it'll be great out. There doesn't seem to be too much traffic at 5AM so I can run up and down the road. I don't want to go too far from home just in case the kids wake up and I'm needed. I can't have the money maker late for work because he had to deal with a screaming child while I was out.
Today I did my 4 sets of 4-30 second surges, elliptical, jump squats (ouch), jump rope, jumping jacks. I , also did some ab work, 3-30 second surges of ball crunches, and bicycles, and 4-30 second surges of ball obliques. I was done in 30 minutes.
I'm hoping that next week we have our life in order and have time to eat better. We go to the chiro 2 times a week so we end up eating out those nights, I have a couple errands to run on another night (the whole family has to come with) so there are 3 nights we eat out. It's bad!! But, I'm changing my chiro schedule since my husband won't be able to go at all for a few months, so I will be home in the evening and can cook something nutritious. Yum yum.
Until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.

Vacation day
Had a vacation day yesterday. We had to go pick up some clothes for our daughter. I've been finding quite a few deals on Craigslist for kids clothes. It's so much better than having to garage sale.
Yesterday I had a couple pops, pancakes, toast, and a chicken bacon ranch sub thing from the truck stop restaurant. It was all very yummy.
Last night I tried something different with getting our little boy to sleep. The other night we were driving and he was getting fussy. I was listening to one of my CDs, so after many failed attempts of singing to him, I turned up the CD. It was kind of loud and there was a lot of bass and he fell sound asleep. So, last night I put him in his crib, turned on the same CD, turned on the little crib light show thing, gave him a few toys, and left. He was pretty good for a while, but got tired of the toys he had. I went back in, gave him a different toy, and laid down in our daughter's bed. I had a hard time getting to sleep with the CD blasting but he was just fine and was asleep in no time. I went back to my room and got up around 2 to feed him. It was so nice. The CD is great. It only took 6 months to figure it out.
