Just a Little Ouchy

Yesterday I did a workout from the July Shape. It involved squats, ball push ups, ball pikes, lunges, and a jump thing. Today, I'm just a little sore. Last night I went to my sister-in-laws place of employment and listened to a talk about Nutrition Response Testing. I've had it done before, I just didn't know what it was called. It is a very accurate way of finding out if different things (smells, chemicals, foods, anything) are not good for your body. While the Healing Diet is great, it also does have the flaw of not everyone is the same. The Healing Diet is a cookie cutter lifestyle. Now, the Healing Diet is great and works wonders for anyone who does it. I know that cows milk does not agree with my system. I don't see or know of the side effects. The only way I know this is because of the Nutrition Response Testing. Now, this testing can cost a lot. I'm lucky enough to have gotten a great deal. This is where the Healing Diet is wonderful. It doesn't require any testing or even a professional to eat the Healing Diet or do the surge training. Heck, this blog and comment section should be enough. I plan on meshing the 2 together so that I can get the very best results.

This week for my cardio days, Monday, Wednesday, Friday I am jumping rope. Like, a real jump rope. No more of the air jump rope. My body was a little sore when I woke up yesterday. I highly recommend it if you have high ceilings or can go outside. It was hot and muggy this morning and the sun was up, it felt good.

Until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.

Eye Opening Evening

Last night Jackie and Patrick had an Extreme Weight Loss Seminar and I was asked to be a testimonial. I was very excited. I tried not to think about it during the week so, when I was at the office, waiting for the seminar to start, I realized saying that I lost 40 lbs in 2-3 months was really awesome but, I haven't done anything these last 5-6 months. It made it look like any other diet plan that you stick to for a little while and then can't keep it up. This is not true at all. There are a lot of people that stick to this plan/lifestyle. It's not hard and I love the way I feel while I'm eating right. I don't know why I've allowed myself to "take a break". Maybe I was getting disappointed because I wasn't able to reach my goals. I would be very strict and would lose a pound here and there. Maybe it was because our family schedule had been all messed up and with being in school and being a mommy, I just didn't take the time to make the new schedule work for us.

Either way, I'm pretty good with our new schedule now, have a lot of new meal plans, and new way of making goals. This time, I'm not going to reward weight loss. Weight loss is a reward. This time I'm going to reward "good behavior". This week my goals are, exercise everyday and no candy. My reward? My husband has agreed to take care of the kids so I can have an hour all to myself. Once I have 4 weeks of goals met, I get a large reward. We are going camping Labor Day weekend so, that's my big one and will get something at the Old Threshers Reunion.

Until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.

7-13 Excercise

Today was a beatuiful morning so I went outside and jumped rope. I wasn't all that great at it. It's been years since I last jumped rope. I'm very happy I was in the back yard and no one was watching me. :) I did 2 minutes of slow jumping jacks, 3 - 30 second surges, 2 - 30 second rests, and 1 minute rest. Repeat 2 times. By the end I was doing pretty well.

Until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.

Sweaty...

Today was a cardio day. I did 4 - 30 second surges of elliptical, jumping jacks, butt kicks, jump squats. I was hurting a bit during the squats. I slept in a bit other wise I would have gone for a run. I had our 9 month old down stairs with me and he kept laughing at me while I was jumping around. Now I'm hanging out with my children drinking our chocolate shakes eating green apples. Well, they are eating the apple, I'm eating the skin. Our 3 year old wants to eat hers the same way as the 9 month old. Silly girl.

My scale still isn't moving. I'm a little bummed but at the same time I know I haven't been as strict as I should be. I had a couple chip ahoy cookies at my parents last night. I think if I have a true, realistic goal I'll be less tempted to cheat or at least more motivation not to cheat. I was watching a video copy of a seminar by Dr. Pompa, the guy who helped design this program I'm following, and he was saying that it takes 5 days for your body to stop craving sugar. The first 5 days are the hardest. Even if you have just a little sugar on a cheat day you will crave for the next 5 days. Sugar is an all or nothing thing that needs to be cut out when I make the full plunge.

Until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.

I'm in love...

This morning I wasn't in the mood to make eggs and had been doing some reading in the cookbook/guidebook that I'm using. Apperently you should only eat 15-20g of protien at every meal. Protien breaks down to sugar. I think I've been over doing it a bit. I'll make 6 eggs and split them with my 3 year old and 9 month old. One egg has about 7 grams of protien. Oops. Plus chowing on cheese all day. Too much protien and not enough veggies is probably why I'm not loosing weight, that and I've been eating a little bit of sugar every day. Naughty me.
Anyway, the shake is:
1 scoop of Dark Chocolate Whey Factor (Found at Greatest Grains), 7 oz milk, 1 C ice, 1 tsp ground vanilla, 2 scoops stevia, 1 T coconut oil. I will post the full recipe in the Recipe Blog.
There is nothing bad about this shake. I made one with out ice, put it in a sippy cup and gave it to out 9 month old with his dried strawberry bites this morning. That is the best thing about what we eat. Even the desserts I'll feed to him and not worry about it being bad for him. Last night, I made healthy brownies for the first time and they are like a sponge. The 3 of us don't like them, but I cut them up into little pieces and he likes them. It's great!!

Workout - Tuesday - Upper Body
3 - 30 second surges bicep curls, tricep dips, chest fly, over head press, over head pull (horizontal lat pull down). I have yet to do abs today; crunches, reverse crunches, oblique crunches, bicycles, captain's chair, side plank.

Until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.

Really Not Digging This

This summer I have decided to try and save some money since I'm not working and going to school full time. We have decided that we won't run the AC during the day. So far it hasn't been too bad other than I'm super swollen. At first I thought it was because I was eating poorly. Now that I'm not, I'm still swollen. The only thing I can think of that could be causing this is the heat. I found out this morning that at night, my hubby sets the AC to 75F. Holy Cow!! No wonder he thinks it's stuffy at night. During the winter it's set at 65F. Maybe, if we set it to 72F it won't be so stuffy because it will actually run and remove some of the humidity in the air and I won't be so swollen all the time. I really hate being swollen, it makes the scale do CRAZY things.

Workout: Monday - Cardio Day

This morning I got my butt out of bed and did 3 sets of 3-30 second surges on the elliptical not dropping below 4 MPH. It was hard come the last set. Then I did 3, 3-30 second surges of jumping jacks. It was great fun. I had a hard time doing the first surge of jumping jacks. My legs were all jell-o like and I was so not graceful at all.

Well, 6 AM gotta hit the shower and get kids ready for the chiro and grocery shopping. Maybe hit up the fabric store too. Until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.

Grrr

Just stepped on the scale. It hasn't budged yet this week. Come on. I think that I might be eating way to many nuts. I'm on break from school still and all I do all day is snack plus eat large meals. ow that I think about it, when I was losing the Zander weight I hardly ate anything for supper. I was never hungry. Also, I would feel hungry for a little while before eating. I have to get back to that again. I'm not working out this morning I'm kinda tired and want to cuddle with Zander a little more. Ta ta for now.

Well, until next time, keep up the hard work and you will be at your goal weight/size before you know it. Just take it one day at a time.
